Ferryville Vision and Promotion Board
In 2002 a group was formed and took the name "Ferryville Vision & Promotion Board" (FV&PB). The Village President and Village Board charged the new group to research and develop ideas and functions to promote tourism and to provide the Village with new and improved surroundings to facilitate a more attractive environment.

A number of Village residents and others from the surrounding area began to meet and soon were successful in assisting the Village to receive a grant to rebuild the boat landing to include a paved launch ramp and paved parking lot and new floating docks. The group initiated a "Market In the Park" on Saturdays where vendors sell garden produce, organic products and an Amish family brings bakery items, baskets, quilts, rugs and leather goods to the Sugar Creek Park from May until the end of October each year. In 2008, the group was able to obtain two grants and the "River View Park" was built in the center of the Village. In 2009, the group sought approval and raised funding from private sources to erect a Wisconsin Historical Marker honoring former Governor Patrick Lucey, a native of Ferryville. When the Village Board enacted a room tax, the FV&PB formed a Tourism Council and the members actively promote tourism with funding given to them by the Village Board. Each year the FV&PB sponsors and funds a spectacular fire works show launched from the Mississippi River on the third Saturday evening of July.

The FV&PB raises funds with an annual breakfast in February each year and also runs a brat stand on Main Street several times a year.

The Ferryville Vision & Promotion Board is looking for more members from the Village and surrounding area to join the group. Get involved with fostering community spirit and enhancing and making Ferryville more attractive. Join a fun group by contacting the Village Clerk at
