Wisconsin law, coupled with the Village of Ferryville Code of Municipal Ordinances, mandates that many materials must be recycled. The law requires all Village Residents as well as Village Business Owners to participate in the mandatory recycling program. The Village contracts, for curbside sorting and recycling pickup, with Town & Country Sanitation Inc. Instructions and the list of all items that must be recycled appears below as well as the schedule of pickup days. Recyclables must be put at the curb in bins which may be purchased from the Village for $9.00 each. Shredded paper may also be recycled and must be put in a clear bag and put at the curb for pick-up on the scheduled recycling days.

Ferryville Recycling of all metals and Appliances - The Ferryville Public Works Department has a
Dumpster and can accept any items of metal or steel. Also acceptable is any steel appliance; refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, dehumidifiers and other metal items. Items can be dropped off at the Public Works Garage on Friday's from 9am to 11am. For assistance to unload call Dan Mattson at 563-217-0225

ELECTRONICS RECYCLING LAW EFFECTIVE 01/01/2010

Wisconsin's electronics recycling law became effective on January 1, 2010. The law prohibits the disposal of various electronic devices such as computers & computer monitors, printers, TV's, VCR's DVD Players and telephones with video displays. All of these items, by law, must be recycled. Town & Country (T&C) is the contracted authorized "recycling collector" for the Village of Ferryville. The schedule of recycling fees is provided below. Call T&C at 1-800-626-1915 to arrange for recycling of electronic devices. IT IS ILLEGAL TO DISCARD THESE ITEMS IN YOUR GARBAGE OR PLACE THEM IN THE VILLAGE DUMPSTGER DURING SPRING & FALL CLEAN-UP DAYS. Violators can be cited.
